Needing no introduction, Peter ‘Perfect’ is a name synonymous with both Holden and Bathurst. In 1978 Brock put his Torana on pole, and then finished first. Co-driven by Jim Richards, the Holden proved to be more than a match for the Fords in the race, with Brock beating the second placed car, a Holden, by a lap and the nearest Ford by 3 laps.
